Empowering Women Center1220 Villa St. Racine, WI 53403 262-989-YWCA (9922) The Empowering Women Center is dedicated to helping women overcome barriers that may prevent them from becoming gainfully employed. We offer several programs for low-income women.
- Dress for Success (DFS) is currently being conducted at our Villa Street location (by appointment only). This program promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire for their initial interview.
- The Professional Women's Group (PWG) is an extension of the Dress for Success program. It provides additional support to Dress for Success women who have obtained employment and need further assistance with personal finances, understanding corporate culture and effective networking skills.
- Employment & Support Services are available by referral from a contracted and accredited vocational rehabilitation institutions. Individualized employment planning, assessments, soft skills development, on-site coaching and job placement are just a few of the services provided by our Employment Specialist.
